The Sheridan-Townsend Block Club was launched in 2022 to lead a Motor City Makeover cleanup in the alley between Sheridan, Townsend, Vernor, and Charlevoix. The alley was cleared out through the City of Detroit’s Alley Clean Up program in 2021, so neighbors thought it was important to keep up the energy and organize. The organization has continued to organize cleanups and advocate for city infrastructure repairs over the years. Check out the gallery below for some photos of our work.
